Opfor wins more than 90% of the games
Open, Needs TriagePublic

I have a couple of hundred hours in KOTH and Opfor almost always wins the match. It completely spoils the fun of the otherwise awesome game mode.

Right now almost all good players join Opfor. Why can't we have auto balanced teams based off the player skill level?

As a player, I thought of this too. But the problem is that when you switch a player from opfor to another team, you will separate him from his squad/group.

I understand that concern, but a) forced team switches already happen and b) good players stacking Opfor spoils the game for everyone.

Another way to solve the problem might be to scale the XP / Cash according to the relative skill level difference between your team and the enemy teams.
The calculation could be like this (but there are of cause other ways to achieve the same thing): ActualXP(Team=Opfor) = BaseXP * 0.5 * (levelSum(Team=Indfor) + levelSum(Team=Blufor)) / levelSum(Team=Opfor)

But it would be a lot better to have fair teams in the first place.

This issue is severe. Just finished my 5th game in a row were Opfor won. It's a never ending pain in the ass.

That's true. The opfor special armor, the tower camping and stackfor ruined this game for me. I hope they do something about it!

Last game (before auto-balance) 47 opfor and 17 indfor. That says everything.

There is literally no excuse for this. how ever team balancing is happening, it is broken. You HAVE to fix this. Break apart groups, or friends, or squads on opfor.

Everything's prices went too far up, the only way to unlock/ buy is to get on Opfor - or grind for weeks.

maybe u guys should request the data and do some proper statistical analysis ... as far as i see it, not being on opfor means half ur team rather waits for some idiot to buy a vehicle than simply buy one of their own, ppl never care for reviving, or considering actual teamplay. yes, opfor doesnt have that either but the ppl who actually do use their brains regularly join team red and thus create a much better experience than to return to ur spawn where there are 7 out of 20 ppl in a team not even try to get into the fight on their own.

on the other hand theres lots of high level players (regulars can even be found on the top100 boards) who regularly play on blue and green. maybe this is one of the cases where less complaining and more reasoning helps
